Dr. Dustin H. Marks was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, as the oldest of three boys. He then moved to Washington, D.C. to receive his Bachelor of Science in Public Health at The George Washington University, receiving highest honors with summa cum laude and acceptance into Phi Beta Kappa.

He continued his medical education at the same institution where he was elected as the president of his medical class for three years. He was later inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society.

Following medical school, Dr. Marks returned to Pittsburgh for his medical internship at UPMC and then relocated to the Bay Area for dermatology residency at Stanford University.

His professional interests include alopecia (hair loss) to which Dr. Marks completed a prestigious hair research fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, the largest teaching hospital of Harvard University. Dr. Marks is also passionate about addressing health disparities in the LGBTQ community and has previously served as the director of the LGBTQ dermatology clinic at Stanford.

Outside of work, Dr. Marks is passionate about spending time with his German Shepard, Archie, in addition to cooking and spending time outdoors with the appropriate SPF coverage of course.
